FOR CLINICIANS
Evidence Summaries
Clinician-focused summaries of key psychotherapy safety research, designed for review by our Scientific Advisory Council and graded using our transparent four-tier evidence framework.
Each summary is written for practicing clinicians — emphasizing practical relevance, key takeaways, and what the research means for your work with clients.
Understanding evidence tiers
Strong
Supported by multiple high-quality studies (RCTs, meta-analyses) with consistent findings.
Moderate
Supported by at least one high-quality study or multiple adequate studies with generally consistent findings.
Limited
Based on preliminary evidence from a small number of studies, case reports, or expert consensus.
Insufficient
Insufficient evidence to draw conclusions. Research is needed or existing findings are conflicting.

What should we write about next?
We prioritize topics that clinicians tell us matter most. If there is a research question, clinical concern, or evidence gap you would like us to review, let us know.

Evidence summaries are for educational purposes only and do not constitute clinical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. Summaries represent our assessment of the evidence at the time of review and should not be considered exhaustive.
Always consult primary sources and qualified professionals for clinical decision-making. Evidence summaries are periodically reviewed and updated as new research becomes available.
